Public review draft

Terms of use — draft

Proposed terms for POST by SHIP's invitation-only creator beta. These terms require founder and legal approval before release.

Operator: Noel Aponte, operating as an individual. Support and privacy contact: support@postbyship.com.

1. What POST does

POST by SHIP is a creator progression application. An invited member connects an authorized TikTok account, establishes a tracking starting point, and publishes on TikTok. POST periodically reads eligible public-video metadata to derive XP, levels, daily quests, personal weekly commitments, and achievements.

POST does not upload, edit, or publish videos on your behalf. It is independent of TikTok; using POST does not replace TikTok's own terms or establish TikTok endorsement. The private beta uses TikTok sandbox-authorized accounts; provider permissions and API availability constrain what POST can check.

Founder/legal decision: identify the legal operator, its address where required, the appropriate contracting terms, applicable jurisdiction, and effective date. “POST by SHIP” is a product name, not a declared corporate identity.

2. Invitation-only access

Participation requires an approved invitation, verified email, and active POST membership. Self-hosted authentication provides email confirmation, username/email and password login, session handling, and password recovery. A TikTok connection or verified email alone does not grant membership. Do not share your sign-in links, sessions, or provider credentials.

The beta is a limited service under evaluation. Access, integrations, and available features may change as defects and provider requirements are resolved. This draft does not promise uninterrupted access, a response time, a paid plan, or a refund policy.

Founder/legal decision: approve eligibility and minimum age, permitted locations, how invitations and suspensions are handled, notice/appeal procedures, and whether beta participation is free. No age threshold or commercial commitment has been invented.

3. Verification and game progress

Progress comes from protected publication evidence and the application's rules. Historical baseline videos and unsupported manual claims do not create new credit. Two eligible verified posts complete a daily quest; a personal weekly commitment instead counts distinct days with at least one eligible verified post.

XP and achievements are in-app progress indicators. They do not measure artistic quality, originality, audience growth, income, or commercial success. Current rules do not award extra XP for competition placement or achievement celebrations.

Provider delays, revoked permissions, incomplete scans, and corrections can leave verification pending or change a derived result. A failed check is not proof that you failed to publish. POST does not guarantee instant detection, credit for every upload, or a permanent final ranking.

4. Friends and optional competition

Members may exchange private friend codes, send and accept requests, remove friendships, and block unwanted connections. A friend code is a discovery handle, not a login credential. Choose a display name you are comfortable sharing with people involved in your requests or friendships.

Competition sharing is a separate opt-in choice, initially off. Weekly Sprint and Monthly Season compare verified XP among accepted friends who both choose to share; these are private comparisons and do not award additional XP. Quest-day consistency and longest verified streaks are separate progress measures.

5. Responsible use

The proposed participation rules require you to use an account you are authorized to connect, respect other creators' privacy and intellectual property, and avoid harassment, impersonation, credential sharing, unauthorized access, or attempts to forge publication evidence or game progress. Publishing through TikTok remains subject to TikTok's rules.

You retain responsibility for the content you create and publish. POST's current verification reads publication metadata; it is not a content license, moderation endorsement, originality check, or transfer of ownership of your videos.

Founder/legal decision: approve the enforceable conduct rules, moderation/reporting process, suspension authority, content/data permissions needed to run POST, and legally appropriate remedies and limitations. These are proposed terms, not approved enforcement promises.

6. Privacy, permissions, and leaving POST

The privacy draft describes the current authentication, provider, progression, friendship, and infrastructure data flows. You can revoke POST's TikTok authorization through TikTok's app permissions. Revocation can prevent future authorized checks; it does not itself erase previously stored POST evidence or progress.

Signed-in members can request account deletion in Settings using their current password and explicit confirmation. A request is accepted only when protected recovery history and database access denial are confirmed; cleanup may remain pending. Disconnecting a provider, signing out, removing a friendship, and deleting a POST account have different effects. Visit support for current guidance; this website does not submit a deletion request.

7. Decisions required before these terms take effect

  • Operator and monitored contact are confirmed above.
  • Eligibility, age, geographic scope, governing law, and dispute procedures.
  • Availability, changes to the beta, any fees, liability, and other legally reviewed contractual terms.
  • Account suspension, data retention, authenticated deletion, backup handling, and user notices.
  • Approval of this complete document and a real effective date.

Until these decisions are resolved, this page is a review draft. It must not be submitted as a final approved Terms of Service or used as proof that POST is ready for external participation.
